Sandwell born and bred, Archer was brought up by a single mother. So he’s well aware of the problems of ordinary daily life and the hardships some suffer.
”I was raised in an area with a lot of anti-social behaviour” says Archer “and saw the destructive effects it had on those who committed it as well as on the community” Consequently, he is strong on law and order and has been working with Shaun Bailey, our Conservative MP, to secure a fully functioning police station in Tipton.
Working as a Careers Adviser, has given Archer the opportunity to help the jobless and educationally disadvantaged. “I believe that everyone is entitled to realise their potential” he says “I’m privileged that my job allows me to help them attain this goal”
In his leisure time Archer does voluntary work at Sandwell Hospital and undertakes counselling through Sandwell Advocacy.
“Many people in Princes End are rightly proud of their community but believe that the council has neglected the area and taken them for granted. My overriding aim is to put that right” says Archer.
