Shaun Bailey MP's speech supporting the Government during a confidence motion.

In the final week before the summer recess, I took part in a confidence motion where MPs debated whether they supported the Government.

After listening to the Labour MPs preach about standards in public life, I reminded them of there parties record in Labour led Sandwell and why the council is now run by commissioners appointed by central government.

I also spoke about the benefits the government is bringing to my constituency including £25 million for Birchley Island and a possible £22.5 million for Tipton.

When the debate ended, I was proud to support the government in the vote.
